Game review report with accuracy for both players and a count of each move class

How it works

1

Enter your username

Chess.com or Lichess. No account and no password: only public games are read.

2

Pick a game

Your 10 latest finished games appear, with the opponent, the date and the result.

3

Read the review

Stockfish goes through the game move by move, right in your browser.

What the review shows

Accuracy for both players

One number per player for the whole game, and one for each phase.

Every move graded

From brilliant to blunder, so the turning points stand out at a glance.

The best move at every turn

See what the engine preferred, then play on the board to test your own idea.

Your mistakes to replay

Go back to the position and look for the better move yourself.

The evaluation graph

Where the game swung, and how far, without reading every line.

The opening you played

The review names it and, when we have one, leads to a course that trains it.

How the analysis works, and its limits

The engine is Stockfish, compiled to run in your browser. It looks at each position in turn, and each move is graded by how much it changes the evaluation. Nothing is sent to our servers: your username only goes to the platform that holds your games.

An engine says which move is best, not why you missed it, and accuracy is a guide rather than a rating. ChessAtlas is not affiliated with Chess.com or Lichess; it reads the public games their APIs provide.

Frequently asked questions

Is this chess game review really free?

Yes. There is no daily limit and no card to enter, because the analysis runs on your own device instead of our servers. ChessAtlas earns its living from its opening trainer, not from reviews.

Do I need an account?

No. Enter a Chess.com or Lichess username, or paste a PGN. An account is only needed to train openings with spaced repetition.

Is my game stored?

No. The game lives in the address of the page, in a part browsers do not send to servers, so the link itself is what you share. Reviews are not saved to an account.

Why does the review take a moment?

Stockfish analyses every position on your device. A computer is quick; a phone takes longer and uses more battery on a long game.

Which games can I find by username?

Your 10 latest finished standard games of the last 12 months. A game you just finished on Chess.com can take a little while to appear there. For anything older, paste its PGN.

Stop losing in the same openings

A review shows what went wrong once. Spaced repetition makes the right move stay.
