Main line
The chapter's main line, with the comments from the course.
1. e4 e5 2. Nc3
Starting our Vienna setup.
2... Nc6
Black mirrors us, keeping things balanced for now.
3. Bc4
We develop the bishop and keep delaying Nf3, setting up d3 and f4 next.
3... Bc5
Black copies our bishop move, but this makes g7 weak and lets us attack first.
4. Qg4
Now we're hitting g7 directly, Black has to weaken their kingside with g6 or give up castling.
4... Qf6
Black defends f7 and attacks our f2, but this queen move is nearly a BLUNDER!
5. Nd5
Forks the queen and c7 pawn. Sure, Black gets our f2 with check, but we're attacking three targets at once.
5... Qxf2+
The only move.
6. Kd1
Our king is safe here. Now Black's queen is suddenly trapped with c7 still hanging!
6... d6
Black opens the light bishop, hoping to reach g4. Our attack comes first though.
7. Qxg7
We grab g7 with multiple threats. Qh8 and Nc7 are both coming, plus Nf3 and Rf1 will trap the queen.
